Background

The initial idea sparked from one of the pain points of travelers to New York City: the meticulous and time-consuming process of planning for a trip from finding things to do, generating a schedule, navigating during the trip, to keeping track of unexpected changes that might occur.

1. Discover current events/ travel location/activities in NYC
2. Have their trip planned out with their chosen events/locations in the most reasonable way
3. Use the app as a guide throughout their trip in NYC

User flow

Since the app aims to help people plan their trips, the discover page is the default start of the user journey after authorization. Emphasizing simplicity and user-centric design, the interface maintains a minimalist approach, featuring only 3 tabs. This intentional choice streamlines navigation, ensuring users effortlessly access and engage with the app's core functionalities, reducing friction and enhancing the overall user experience.

Sketches & wireframes

The goal is to create the most straightforward, clean, and functional interface. The final wireframes utilizes the method of grouping and nesting a variety of functionalities within the same tab, without compromising information and clarity.
